If I was to organize a beervet brewvet For Late March and April – in the spirit of the coffeeneuring/utilitiare/errandonnee challenges – would you be in?
Tentative plans include 12 Controls, 22 days to qualify (6 x Fri/Sat/Sun, plus 4 “weekday training rides”). 100km distance goal. 1 Control per day limit.
Chime in below. Too many controls, too few days, too much distance?

I’m almost definitely in. How do you check into a control? Drink a beer there? Does this include bars or just breweries?
Check in would be:
1) Buy a beer at a bar while on a bike ride
2) Buy or acquire a tasting sample at a brewery while on a bike ride
3) Buy a beer on a bike ride, but save it to drink within 1 hour from arriving home (need time to chill it!)
Photo evidence and thoughts on the beer necessary.
Love it! Sounds challenging. Would it work for those of us that dont drink?
I didn’t really consider that – so I would say – ride to the controls, and pick a beer that fits into the category – and then take a photo of a menu or relevant item and “ponder the taste” of the beer that you might have ordered?
I look forward to meeting this challenge. Bottoms up!
I would do this.

I could be tempted into this pretty easily.
Excellent! Stay tuned to this space for details. I am writing them up this week – and we’ll launch the challenge later in March. I am 99% sure I’ll be collaborating with another website – which should ramp up the fun factor (I hope!)
Hmmm. Sounds like a blast! I have a big ultramarathon in that time frame but I’d attempt to earn at least an “honorable mention” …
I’ll totally count it if you run instead of bike!
This seems like a Fort Collins natural. I’m in!
Milwaukee, reporting for duty. This sounds fun, I can probably rope a few friends into it too.
Awesome – how could it not be fun, right?
Eek! I thought I replied to this earlier. I think I can do it!
Lisa – I’ve been lazy, bit its happening. Hope to meet up at a control!
This sounds great. I would absolutely like to take part. Do you accept non-local participation?
Absolutely Becca – that is great. Stay tuned, I’m launching it soon!
